Good thing we’re getting a new Speed trailer for 20K. Why not take that money and use it for education instead of catching the crazy speeders? Priorities seem a little screwed up.

Your talking City money versus School District money. Very separate items.

I guess we need another referendum then since the city’s spending it so wisely.

I hope that the average person reads this entire article. There are a total of 26 positions at stake – 22 simply happen to be more classroom based. There are 4 positions at the district support level that will be losing their jobs – these position work hard to support our teachers and student, don’t get summers off, don’t get subs when they aren’t in the office, etc These are the people that hire and train the teachers, enroll students in the district, work with your children’s courses and transcripts, etc.
I realize that times are tough, but please don’t forget about the “non-teachers” who will be impacted and well inadvertently impact the services your students receive.
I would have liked the writer of this article to list all the positions that are at stake with a description of what they do.
