HHS senior seeking OK to wear Marine uniform

HHS senior Mac Hamlin is seeking permission to wearhis Marine uniform to graduation in June. Initially he was told no but the district said they will consider the request if they receive it in writing.

First – thank you for your future service and good luck to you. However – “Hamlin has said he will not take part in the ceremony if he cannot wear his uniform.” Simple enuf – don’t take part in the ceremony.

He has a choice to not participate. Maybe it’s time to change the outdated requirement for cap and gowns and let the students wear what they want. Perhaps all students could wear the uniform of their future occupation.

Yeah the future strippers could wear nothing. The McDonalds cook could wear their uniform from there. The present and future criminals could borrow stripes and pink underwear from Sheriff Joe….
