Mr. Mercer thank you for covering this bill. Unfortunately it is likely to be vetoed by a governor that feels that government should stay out of private business. The problem is healthcare is government business. Subsidies in the form of non-profit, consumer groups ie. Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, Obamacare make up the majority of revenue for the healthcare industry. It is a shame all providers of traditional medicine that compete with the cradle to grave megahealthcare providers in the state don’t have the oportuninity have access to these public health plans. It is ironic that these independent providers pay the taxes that help our fair city buy a new ladder truck that was needed to reach the top of the only 2 buildings in the city that, buy the way, are not subject to property taxes (hopital and DWU science building). Fact is, hospitals should not be allowed to sell an insurance product. It is a severe conflict of interest. Especially if you are employed there. Thanks for your attention, it means a lot to those of us just trying to make a decent living doing what we love.
