Virtually everything in the Universe is classified as either animal, vegetable or mineral. It’s animal if it is alive, vegetable if it grows, or mineral if it isn’t alive, doesn’t grow and comes from the ground. Most people learn this – or at least heard of this – in school.
There are “higher, more developed, forms” of animal, of course, such as humans. But you can’t put humans into the other categories. The writer is either being overly sensitive or too narrow in his definition.
You might not like it, but you’re an animal, sir. That’s better than being a ‘vegetable’ or a ‘box of rocks’.
Hot debate. What do you think?

eastender I agree with you. As I see it these holier than thou individuals have a real problem with the truth.

How do you define truth? Historically the Bible is true. I was taught the “theory” of evolution, but have yet to see it presented as truth- as some would like it to be. I personally don’t have the faith required to believe that we all come from a primordial slime and that over time and the right conditions humans evolved. The complexity of a human cell, the complexity of blood and the way it clots and supports life, the fact that crayfish can regenerate walking legs and eyes where people can not, points me to a master creator.

They are a direct descendents of liberal platitudes that have layed an egg.

You don’t know the difference between science theory and non-science theory. The “theory of evolution” has been tested many many many many times and has not yet been proven false. Unless you don’t believe in any “theories”…like the “theory of gravity” or “theory of relativity”.
“A scientific theory summarizes a hypothesis or group of hypotheses that have been supported with repeated testing. If enough evidence accumulates to support a hypothesis, it moves to the next step—known as a theory—in the scientific method and becomes accepted as a valid explanation of a phenomenon.”

There is currently no scientific method that can prove evolution. The fact that you can’t disprove something doesn’t make it true. The left just follows the template laid out by their puppetmasters and follow happily along like an ignorant puppy with his tail wagging and tongue drooling all over.

Of course people are animals and part of the food chain. Lions, Sharks, Bears, would feed on a human in a heartbeat if given the chance.

The problem as I see it is … some people read the Bible and believe every word that is in it. It’s mostly fairy tales … from my point of view.

People that read the Bible think humans are the greatest thing ever to ever walk the earth. Right now humans are in contol? That could change in a heartbeat and another species could take over and humans would be a nice lunch for them. Never say never.
