If you do any reading on the Keystone Pipeline it is easy to see it is a bad idea. China is heavily invested in the Alberta Tar Sands. They want this route so they can ship this oil to their country. The investors in the Alberta Tar Sands are the only people who will gain from this if it goes through. They want to get a higher price for their dirty oil. In order to do so it needs to reach the global market. The right approach would be to build a refinery near the Alberta border. Don’t we pay a high enough price for oil?
