Here comes Alan, all the way from Tucson, to tell us 40% of gun sales are private. They must not be very private if you know about them. Oh, wait a minute, we do not know how many gun sales are private because, by their nature, they are private.
I wonder if Alan, from Tucson, knows that you cannot ever get background checks on everyone (his capitalization notwithstanding) who buys a gun. You can only get a background check on a law abiding citizen. Criminals do not subject themselves to background checks.
Alan says something must be done. He is one that does not care if what he wants done will not work. He’ll just feel good if something is done.
I wonder what data Alan is talking about that the feds cannot collect on gun violence because of the NRA. Alan, from Tucson, does not inform us but he says it is just wrong. Pray tell, what are you talking about Alan?
