Most followers of the Minnesota Twins surely took notice last week of the team’s Winter Caravan stopping in Fargo and a couple other North Dakota cities.

Griffith and Pohlad were never about winning teams; they wanted bucks. They have made a cottage industry of getting rid of players when they showed greatness: Carew, Hisle, Bostock…even Harmon got dumped. Once the Twins got their new stadium, they were content to be a AA minor league team, which is what they will be from now on. Maybe when attendance drops off to 10,000 a game, they’ll take notice. But then it will really be too late.
