Crystal union supporters join anti-lockout bill debate

A lockout of 1,300 workers in the Red River Valley has become evidence for Minnesota Legislature Democrats as they draw up bills to restrict the management practice. Continue Reading

This woman is Brad Knapper’s sister, therefore I don’t consider her to be a reliable source of information. She hates ACS and this anger towards the company is what is preventing the locked out workers from returning to work.
You need to realize ma’am that the final offer is the final offer. Take it or leave it.

It was the union’s choice to reject the contract, why should they get government checks?

Yet another example of a group who wants to reap no consequences for their poor decisions. They opted to follow their “leaders’” advice, and vote themselves out of job, while their “leaders” continued to get a paycheck. Now they want to be paid to sit on their doopa.

Another “deep-thinker” is put in front of a microphone. Yawn.
Back at the beginning of all of this, I made reference to the thought process of many of these individuals. I called it the “union ‘tude”. I was taken to task a bit for it, but does anyone doubt the existence of the ‘tude now?
It’s perhaps not entirely her fault…post-lockout she became aware, (after 30 years on the job), of the realities the majority of workers in this country face every day. She *thinks* not being in the driver’s seat at work is some strange new phenomenon.
Oh well….I wish her the best. I just hope any of her potential future employers read the article and are aware of how she truly feels about the employer/employee dynamic, AND….that the prescriptions to her anti-depressants have lapsed.
I’m sure the offers will be rolling in.

“I called it the “union ‘tude”. ”
Not a bad term. It’s characterized by
A huge sense of entitlement (“my job”).
An over-blown sense of ability (scabs are incompetent)
A willingness to adopt a Moonie stance in allowing “leaders” to think for you
A group mentality
The notion that any action to keep your job is legitimate

Yes this photo reminds me of the meeting the union had with Al Franken. During the meeting one of the union leaders wore his sunglasses. He sat at the head table one chair down from the senator. I thought it was quite odd to say the least.
