Column – The evil ‘they’ are out to get ‘us’

My fellow Americans, tyranny is at hand!
If they ban assault weapons, a new Hitler is going to crush our freedom-loving America!
If they limit weapons, next they’ll take our huntin’ guns away! Continue Reading

Perhaps Dennis should give some statistics on where the strongest gun laws are and their effectiveness. Chicago, Washington D. C. for example. Switzerland has mandatory gun ownership. What is their crime rate? Chicago has juvenile gang bangers fighting turf battles, their losers are listed as “children victims” and the mayor asks that the gangs please stay away from the little kids. The Obama administration sets up “fast & furious” to provide guns for Mexican cartels in an effort to validate how bad guns are, to provide ammo for the movement to ban guns. How did that work out? The constitution doesn’t mention deer hunting. It intended to provide citizen protection against tyranny.

For those who don’t think the government is a threat, former Washington D.C. mayor Marion Barry has revealed that the FBI tried to kill him after forcing him to ingest crack cocaine.
I’m telling you, it’s not safe out there. The electorate saw through that and elected him as councilman to enable him to serve society. The dedication of these public servants is amazing. Now, even Ray Nagan (Chocolate Ray) has been indited for corruption in Louisiana. Where does it stop?
Hot debate. What do you think?

Ah, yes. Marion Berry; that trusted source of unbiased information. And actually Ray Nagin DID get indicted.

“THEY the sinister government, US the “real” patriots. That US, it should be noted, does not include such misguided nuts as peaceniks, bunny-huggers, nerds and eggheads. Those misfits don’t own guns; they don’t even like hunting, for cryin’ out loud; there’s something wrong with them; they’re un-American. Probably communists.”
Another Friday raving. Talk about “paranoia;” this borders on hysteria. “Communists, bunny-huggers, nerds…” What on God’s green Earth are you trying to say, Mr Dahlman? You’re all over the place, as most liberals tend to be, and incredibly emotional, as most liberals tend to be.
There is no question in my mind, and I say this as a non-gun owner (never even fired one), that the ultimate goal of the left is to have a complete ban on guns, “huntin’” and otherwise. A demented person can still walk into a school or a movie theater or anywhere else and kill people with a weapon meant for “huntin.” Are five people killed acceptable, while twenty are not? Of course not. But inevitably, that wil be the specious rationale for a complete ban. It could very well happen; don’t think it can’t.
If and when it does, ask yourself, who will still have guns and who will not?

We’ve already had a preview of a semi-automatic rifle ban under the Clinton administration. It had no effect whatever in reducing crime. The left has one goal in mind and that is to disarm America. They will try take some of our freedoms today, some tomorrow and on and on till we have none. They want no opposition to their program of eliminating the Constitution of the United States. Many, including Obama have stated their wish to ban and confiscate all guns if they could. They say”trust us”. They are the last people I would trust with anything.

So the law-abiding citizens could be limited to ten round clips … but the criminals will continue to use thirty round clips. Yep…that makes the law abiding citizen vulnerable but hey at least Obama got to look good for the people who don’t understand criminals don’t follow the laws the rest of us do.

Well, my thoughts, some may not agree and some may, is that the government is a little scared of us “free” americans owning guns. I believe that they are afraid of war at home. “Rebels” against government. Hey, it happened once before why not again? Total control is what they want. First take away our guns and we won’t be able to fight back when they decide to take away everything else. Taking away our rights to guns won’t solve anything. Where there is a will, there is a way. If someone wants to kill someone else, they WILL find a gun legal or not.

Bunch of people must have missed their civics and government classes in high school. The goverment is US. We send representatives to Washington to do what we agree with. If they don’t, we vote them out. We are the government.

But if we wait until the next election cycle to voice our opinions on this issue it will be too late.
We need to let our representatives know NOW where we stand.

Government and civics classes teach how it is supposed to work. Then there is reality. Bunch of people must not be paying attention to the nightly news. The only people who can run for a national office are the ones that can afford it. The ones that can afford it have to take money from groups that support them. Once in office they find out that all that money they were given comes with some strings attached.
So now who are they really working for?

So they finally had to come out and admit it, now that the Coroner has released some info along with Police. An AR-15 Rifle or the so-called “Assault Weapon” was not used in the school shooting. The shooter even tried weeks earlier to buy a Rifle but was turned down in the background check. So he had to kill his Mother to steal her rifle. There were initial reports right after the shooting, that Police found the AR-15 Rifle in his car, NOT IN THE SCHOOL. The Rifle was not used. The Shooter went into the school with 4 handguns. Not an Assault Rifle as the media has charged. I remember in the initial hours of this shooting, the Police said they found the Rifle in the car. But the News Media had a Pre-Planned Attack already waiting, to ban so-called assault weapons and jumped on that line of reporting, knowing it was a lie. Including people like Piers Morgan who said the shooter used an AR-15 that shoots hundreds of rounds per minute, as if it were a machine gun. Could it be that the Democrat Liberals and the Media were pushing for the new law, hoping they could do it, before the Coroner released the info. I’m betting on it.

Why does everything have to come down to “Liberal Democrats” or “Conservative Republicans”? Perhaps the real problem here is the media and the need to sensationlize an already tragic event, followed by the scaremongers, no matter what their political beliefs may be.

Because it’s the LIBERAL MEDIA that jumps to attack the conservative Republicans every time his Highness snaps his fingers. We saw weekly coverage of protests against “Bush’s War” and now that it’s Obama’s “man made disasters” we hear nothing. We don’t see much about Al Gore and how he sold out to big oil interests after making millions off of carbon credit promotions. But, we saw daily reporting on Haliburton’s connection to Bush/Cheny. Yes, the problem is the media and their devotion to the Liberal Democrats. Dalman uses this forum to push the party line and gets paid for doing it. Echo Press uses a DE-RANGED reporter that will “report” from advertising brochures for solar collectors and call it “news”. Real news would actually report facts vs propaganda from the left.

Interestingly, you don’t mention Fox News. That omission puts your credibility in question regarding this issue.

I didn’t name any media (except EP)so your mentioning the single conservative media voice confirms you are aware of the LIBERAL BIAS in mainstream media.

I’ve seen that clip before. It was shot on the day of the incident. I have yet to see ANY report that backs up that particular report.
Conclusions?
One: The officials clamped down that information faast and hard so we would never hear it again.
Two: Reports were all over the map that day. This may be just another thing that the media got wrong.
I’m inclined to believe the latter. For the former to be true there would have to be a MASSIVE conspiracy from the top of the law enforcement to the many, many witnesses that had to be there.

Mike, when was that video published? Oh yeh, December 15…only one day after the massacre.
Spouting off about a media report from December 15 and suggesting that “OH NOW they’re admitting…..” Huh?

Randy, I’m a nonsmoker. I should have checked closer due to the MSNBC connection. May I caution you about your KoolAid consumption? We (US) suffer more from it than any threat of citizens using guns to defend themselves. We all need to be careful about quick judgements about violence. Like the Fort Hood “workplace violence” or the “police brutality’ involving professor Gates, Obama’s pal. Or rushing to judgement at Bengahzie. Heck, even the “fast & furious’ investigation is taking years to sort out.
