When the chief of police in Mahnomen is telling a female newsreporter not to leave her hotel in the evening you know there is serious safety issues on the White Earth Reservation.
We used to snowmobile in this area years ago but we stay well clear of it since an encounter we had on the trails with some of the locals. Never again will we travel through there.
