Walker’s ‘State of the State’ airs tonight;
January 15, 2013 at 2:53 am in Hudson Star-Observer
Gov. Scott Walker has hinted that job creation, not cutting taxes, will be his primary focus for the year to come. Also, Wisconsin’s Supreme Court has again declined to hear the voter ID case, food prices inched upward 2 percent in the past year, an inmate has won a lawsuit over bad jail food, plus more news from around Wisconsin. Why does the headline subtitle say Walker’s priority is job creation ahead of cutting taxes, yet when I read the actual article it mentions cutting local taxes is a priority and says NOTHING about Walker’s supposed priority of job creation? I have to wonder, once again, about the journalistic integrity being demonstrated.
“Lower taxes? right!!!! hahahahahahaha, mine went up”
Mine went down. And before you blame Walker for your increase in taxes why don’t you tell us exactly which part of your tax burden went up? Local school district, local muicipality, etc? Walker doesn’t directly control those things. It’s apparent you want to blame Walker for all your problems….

Mine went down. Derks, I think it might be you who is greedy. You seem upset only because someone else may be doing better than you are. Have you ever considered that the best way to better your financial position is through woring harder and or smarter than others?

derks, another reason your property tax may have increased is a municipality-wide reassessment. Did that happen last year?
And if you’re writing about payroll taxes increasing, you’d better look at the federal changes that happened Jan 1. Thank Obama and the Dems for that one…but they didn’t really go up. They were supposed to increase even more, and Obama negotiated a slightly less increase, so you actually SAVED money.
Where’s AR when someone needs to be called a bigot? Oh wait, he’s a radical lefty so it’s totally acceptable, and so what if it was the WI Capitol hours before Walker’s State of the State address.

We’ll do much better during Walker’s next term. We are taking the correct path on taxes and spending finally. I suppose you didn’t notice that the budget is now balanced. Hang in the Derks it’s getting better every day. These things take time.

Considering we have an emperor in the WH who’s economic plans consist of spending more money on the backs of all citizens and business owners, yes, I will blame Obama. Who the hell wants to add employees or start a business when they will be responsible for all the leeches that decide to live off the state?
I have asked this a million times with no avail. What exactly is the economic plan of this administration?

More good news, the appellate court upheld Act 10 today. Of course, our touchy, oh so smart progressives will appeal again (they did within 45 minutes) and more tax dollars wasted to protect the smallest portion of workers in the state.

This administration’s economic plan is to save the country from the last administration’s economic plan. Funny how some people ignore the fact that the last administration doubled the debt while leaving the economy in ruins. Most of Obama’s debt is due to loss of revenue from the contracting economy and the two wars. The GDP dropped almost 7% the last quarter of ’08.
