The differences in price of online items versus many brick and mortar retailers is usually so vastly different that sales tax for online transactions isn’t going to make much of a difference.

I order online because it offers a much better selection and I am able to check out several stores from home. Add fuel prices to drive to the store, also my time, and I believe I save more than enough to make up the cost of shipping. The smart shopper looks for promo codes to bring the costs down even more.
