Both my health & my life insurance required urine drug screens. As well as all of the normal nasties, they were testing for tobacco – nicotine. The questionnaire did not ask how it got into your system: smoke, chew, gum, or patch. They only asked if it was there. If it was you had a lower cap on how much life insurance you could buy & your premiums for both were 1.5x non tobacco users.
