This sport died professionally a long time ago. NBA is next to go.

I wouldn’t say the sport died at all. I think with Los Angeles winning last year had the potential to open up some more markets and get people watching who never watched before. The NBA is in no trouble at all either, they have a very serious fan base and is as popular as ever.

They better not try to make up their losses with higher ticket and concession prices…that is all I got to say.

My suggestion to Wild ticket holders is to stay away and boycott game 1 back in the Excel. Don’t spend a dime for concessions or merchendise. Instead, make it a point to watch the game from a bar or restaurant who has suffered due to the lock out. An estimated 60 million was sucked from the St Paul economy from this little temper tantrum from the owners and the surrounding establishements bore the brunt of that. I am very happy the NHL is coming back but the fans need to remind the owners who really pays the bills.
