I am sure Senator Harsdorf is doing the right thing but with more than 50% of the nation stuffing their pockets with cash from the other half I think sometimes we are fighting a losing battle. You can thank the current President for taking this to the next level of absurdity with no end in sight. This has to change with everybody having some skin in the game…even if it is a $100. Elected officals will rarely do the right thing because they too are afraid they will lose their jobs and be forced to compete in a horrific private sector job market with everybody else.
The Republicans have to do 3 things every chance they get:
1; Have a SIMPLE common message of what lower taxes and a smaller government can do for the average citizen. (When you are telling you are not selling) Explain that there will always be safety nets just not forever
2; Never pass up a opportunity to educate on simple economics.
(i,e) Government does not create jobs and for every dollar we spend to create a job we only get 60 cents back in return in economic productivity.
3; Go big on offense. They are going to get blamed by the media no matter what so it may as well be the ‘right thing’
The liberal mindset is to create as much government and as many layers as possible. This is done out of fear for their own well being. They think that by having all the money funneling towards the government it will be harder for them to be left out in the cold without the benefits. This is exactly the opposite of the truth. They want to soak the so called ‘rich’. They don’t know if the government can target one group it won’t be long before they come after YOU. It’s a dangerous game where the biggest losers are eventually everybody, rich and poor.
Hot debate. What do you think?

They need to keep the message simple, because the democrats ure using the simplist message of all “Here, we’ll give you some free stuff, so vote for us.”

I hope someone asks Senator Harsdorf why her property taxes are so much lower than her neighbors. It seems that she has made sure that she gets a tax break through Use Value Property Tax exemptions, at the expense of the rest of us.
