Minnesota’s inaugural wolf season ended Thursday when the late-season hunting and trapping seasons closed. Minnesota Department of Natural Resources officials closed the season because the harvest was nearing the overall harvest target of 400.

I am glad the quota was exceeded, rather than not met. I feel the total timberwolf population is understated, the more harvested, the better for the species and those of us that have to live with predators.

….as if ALL of us don’t live with predators? Wolf haters and people who can’t and won’t take care of their animals aren’t the only ones. There are also thousands of responsible people who educate themselves and protect their pets and stock by being proactive, instead of being reactive by reaching for the gun, trap or snare.

Shooting, trapping and snaring are all pro-active measures. Perhaps you can enlighten us “jackpine savages” what you consider pro-active measures. I’m sure the cattle farmers will get a kick out those from some called Kayak Man.
