A fantastic column as usual. I haven’t seen the movie, but I enjoyed reading this. I will still go to the movie, but I will be forewarned.

I went to see this movie and I hadn’t realized that it is in fact an opera. Why it’s called a musical is beyond me. Maybe they didn’t think anyone would come if it was billed as an opera. But I didn’t hate it as much as Eric did, but, of course, it was artificial just like any other opera is.

Plays were sung as opera because there were no microphones. So it is authentic for 1832.

Maybe you should stick to reviewing Flintstone reruns.

What would be great if the theaters around here would actually play good movies. I was hoping The Impossible would play in GF, which is about the Tsunami that hit several years ago but we get months of twilight and how long is Wreck it Ralph going to play? It would be nice to watch the Oscars and actually have a clue about some of the films being nominated. I will go to Les Miz because it actually has a plot and maybe a little culture behind it. Maybe the columnist would be happier with this week’s releases… I hear Ghost House and Mama are true works of art. Or I’m sure there is a Tyler Perry movie out there somewhere…
