Retired UMD professor raises eyebrows with school shooting theory
January 3, 2013 at 6:00 pm in Duluth News Tribune
A retired University of Minnesota Duluth professor known for his conspiracy theories on John F. Kennedy’s assassination, the 9/11 attacks and the Paul Wellstone plane crash has found himself in the news again this time for claiming the U.S. government was involved in the Newtown, Conn., school shootings.

I don’t want to speak for Mr. Fetzer, but I think he would be highly offended to be called “right wing”. If you read his excoriating criticisms of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, et al, and their supposed involvement in 911 and Wellstone plane crash conspiracies, you couldn’t possibly conclude that he is “right wing”.

Batman “The Dark Knight Rises” contains a map of Gotham City and it’s suburb Sandy Hook (found at 1:58). The same movie also has a night shot of a building name in red letters “AURORA” (re: Aurora CO theatre shooting). I’ve always had a saying there is no such things as coincidences – the question is why is it being rubbed in our faces?

Don~ Really suprised to see you posting on article about radical rightwing nutjobs…~thunk~….ROFLMAO.
A few facts, you know, those things you prefer to ignore: Filming for Dark Knight Rises began in May, 2011. Gotham is suppossed to really be New York City …there is also a Sandy Hook, New Jersey and Sandy Hook Bay of New Jersey off of New York.
So a map of Gotham that shows a Sandy Hook outside it’s city limits is not clue to a dark secret of a international government conspiracy exposed. Or I guess you can believe this was such a well guarded secret government covert operation that only film makers in LA knew about it a year and half before it happened and their way to expose it though was an obscure reference in their film? SMH!!
They of course also knew a year in advance that some lunatic who thinks was the joker who lives in Aurora, Co. would kill people during their movie and so they pictured a building that said Aurora in their film to warn everyone? It must be true and no coincidence either that there’s multiple cities all over named Aurora…they’re all in on it am sure.
BTW….It wasn’t just that the Mayans calender ran out, the Hoppi Indians also predicted the exact same time for the end of the world…so it must be true!!!
Sigh….deep rooted paranoia and fear mongering are such right wing traits…

I don’t trust our government nor believe half of what they say, but this I thought was pretty out there. It only took a few minutes to discover this Jim Fetzer is certified nutjob right wing extremist who’s made a self promoting career out of pushing wacko conspiracy theories.
I often wonder why the DNT seems to give nonsense nutjobs a microphone. I suspect that as the DNT does, that this is the teaser article and more will come up later???…but the question is why even bother unless one is going to really expose this person…the DNT is treading way too softly on this in article and so really ends up being a nice promotion piece for a radical nutjob and hate group and they get free media exposure…while not really being exposed….awesome DNT!!!
Fortunately the SPLC doesn’t tread as lightly as the DNT and make no bones about Veterans Today being an anti-Jewish hate group and have listed on their hate group watch list. Something the DNT DID NOT point out despite talking about the article and giving Veterans Today web page address.
http://www.splcenter.org/blog/2011/01/06/buyer-beware-veterans-today-and-its-anti-israel-agenda/
“Veterans Today (VT) is a website that bills itself as a “military veterans and foreign affairs journal.” And, indeed, many of its contributors are military veterans or veterans’ advocates from across the political spectrum. VT also offers some information about veterans’ benefits (lifted from the Veterans’ Administration) and links to home and other loans for vets.
But start reading the posts, and you’ll find something else entirely: myriad claims that there was a conspiracy behind 9/11 (Israel orchestrated it, in cahoots with the American government), that the American government is a puppet (of Israel), that the Holocaust never happened or was greatly exaggerated (Jews made it up to manipulate non-Jews), and, most recently, that Julian Assange, the man behind Wikileaks, is a pawn (of Israel).
Notice a theme?”
>>>>>>>>>>>>snip>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
This Fetzger has whole string of anti-Israel conspiracy theories…including they were behind 9-11. There’s money to be made in doing interviews and writing books when peddling hate and that it’s better if that hate is justified with some form of rationaliztion, no matter how twisted or convuluted it is .and conspiracy theories are no different then stereotypes…they’re perfect tool to justify the rationalization that will justify the hate.
So DNT…I don’t care if this was a teaser …as stands with this article as far as am concerned you’re BUSTED as promoting hate group…exactly like you did not expose the YWC youth group as hate group on UMD campus. Before Washington lectures in an op-ed piece again about stamping out hate…maybe he out to start at cleaning up at home first.

I don’t think his brain takes up the whole space his head allowed. He’s neither left-wing nor right-wing. He’s got his own unique set of wings. The man is a whore in every sense of the word, which makes the News Tribune his pimp. They ought to apologize to their reader(s) and then go wash their own brains out with soap for even thinking of publishing this stuff.

Didn’t take them long to yank the comments off the story, did it? I wonder what they’re afraid of.
