A bitter custody battle between the families of a teenage boy and the girlfriend he killed in a murder-suicide, orphaning their infant daughter, ended this week when a judge awarded custody of the child to the boy’s parents. Continue Reading

I have no horse in this race.. However when I read “The Coxes have been Emma’s primary caretakers since she returned from the hospital after her birth, the judge noted.”
To note, they did so well raising their son that a judge awarded them custody of their grand daughter.. hmm the child should be marked for early psychological intervention. It is obvious to me they didn’t teach their biological child how to deal with stress and issues, or anger management. Now they get a chance to screw up another one.
Having children should require a license.

It was a more stable place (Especially once they’ve put on record to completely lock away firearms….you know…those things that the kid might not have done a murder/suicide without….coincidence obviously) then the other grand parent with apparent addiction problems.
As for the other kid being screwed up….You don’t necessarily have to be screwed up totally to do some extremely stupid crime of passion. If I recall the original story they were arguing and in a moment of anger and with a convenient kill toy near by he shot her….Then himself because life was over any way he looked at it right then
I doubt that wrongful death suit against the grand parents over giving him the guns at some point in his life will stick though….How did they know he’d kill something that counted when they gave the guns to him? Maybe you’re right…They did a screw up job then
