I have to say I believe the county was in need of this change. I myself have needed the help of this man in a case, just to have him take away all my rights as a victim of crime. There was no excuse for it, other than he worked with the offenders attorney to get the charges dropped against him. I believe there is way more political non-sense happening in our judicial areas. When you have the DA working hand and hand with an attorney who is also a family court commissioner, things are done behind doors that should not be happening. I have written in blogs about this, as well as written a book that details my case that this happened in. I dont have any animocity against the man, but I did have terrible feelings against what he did to me, at a time that I was a victim of crime as he help the offender stay out of trouble. There were others involved with this case that did plenty wrong as well, including a Sheriff Dept. Deputy who is also a town mayor, who led the offender to the town attorney while knowing he committed a criminal act. This deputy did not go to his superiors with the knowledge, he simply did not do his job as a law official either in the case. When someone is in the clique of the legal system, they get plenty of benefit from that, and good people can be wronged simply because they are not in the clique. I believe that the DA, Judge, and Court Commissioners of Pierce County have all been changed to more positive people at this time. When you have the same individuals in these positions for too long, they begin working together too much. This can lead to the wrong actions against people simply because of who they know. I have eye-witnessed this more than once in the Pierce County Legal System. It should not have been happening this way for the citizens of this county. Equal treatment by the law, should be a top priority, and favoritism should never happen, but has been for quite some time. I may be able to forgive these people for their acts against me, but I will never be able to forget the unjust rulings they have produced.
