I’ve known Gil for many years and he is not only a wonderful EMT but a wonderful person. Always working to help people at their worst. I only wish there were more people like him. Thanks Gil for being a truly inspirational person.

When I was 5 years old, I had an awful accident on our farm where I ran through a glass door and had a wound that went right over my heart and down my chest. One of my only vivid memories of that accident was seeing Gil Beck coming into our kitchen with the rest of the ambulance crew and hearing his very calming voice telling me it would be ok. He also called my mom and calmly told her about the accident.
Whenever I see him now when we are back in town, it is the first thing I think of (his calming demeanor). There are probably hundreds of stories like this. He is a great man.
