The first thing that comes to mind is go figure – the folks against pipelines have once again made morons of themselves – forcing the rails to be busier and the atmosphere that much dirtier. Great job.
However, this article is massively overblown and misleading regarding rail safety. Who in their right mind would believe the statistics when they were put out by a conservative think tank? Conservatives hate trains, and everyone knows that. Their reasoning for it is still baffling – railroads increase efficiency and lower costs, just like the Republicans claim they want to do. Just another in a long line of questions that the Republicans refuse to answer, because they have no honest answer for it.
