Serling was a genius and TZ one of the most amazing series in the history of television. The Drek we’re stuck with today just emphasizes that.

Maybe we are entering a new age. I am in agreement with both mav and Gene.

A pleasant faced man steps up to greet you
He smiles and says he’s pleased to meet you
Beneath his hat the strangeness lies
Take it off, he’s got three eyes
Truth is false and logic lost
Now the fourth dimension is crossed …
You have entered the Twilight Zone
Beyond this world strange things are known
Use the key, unlock the door
See what your fate might have in store …
Come explore your dream’s creation
Enter this world of imagination …
You wake up lost in an empty town
Wondering why no one else is around
Look up to see a giant boy
You’ve just become his brand new toy
No escape, no place to hide
Here where time and space collide …
You have entered the Twilight Zone
Beyond this world strange things are known
Use the key, unlock the door
See what your fate might have in store …
Come explore your dream’s creation
Enter this world of imagination …

“Look up to see a giant boy
You’ve just become his brand new toy”
Actually, it was a giant girl.

Nope. The episode is titled “A Stopover in a Quiet Town.” Written by Earl Hamner, famous for “The Waltons.”

Interesting … I double checked my source. It was from the musical group Rush. In the song I just listened to it says “he’s” …. and their video shows a young boy.

I was going to correct your previous comment, but I see that you have corrected yourself. “Twilight Zone” was indeed performed by the rock band Rush. It was written by Rush drummer Neil Peart in 1976, and was on side 2 of the album 2112. “Look up to see a giant boy” is the correct lyric.

After further search I read Jerry Garcia re-recorded the theme to the remake of the TV series in 1985. His friend, Merl Saunders, was the musical director. It was performed by the Grateful Dead.

I think that the US House is living in the Twilight Zone. Thier version of reality sure seems different than the one the rest of us have. De-de-de-de-de- de-de-de duh.
