Being “over the hill” myself, I’m aware of the age of the two hires featured in the article. Do they know how fortunate they are to be needed, chosen, hired at 47 and 56 years old? In this day and age, especially in this economic climate, it would be so convenient to deem them “redundant”. But the reality is quite the opposite. That says a lot about them and AAR. It’s a good message and it must be a wonderful Christmas present. I hope this new venture goes better than the last one. NO strikes please!

When the strike was going on in 2005 I was delivering food to the Radisson, which is where the replacement workers/security were staying. Even though I was bringing food to a family in town, a couple of the greaseballs outside picketing threw stuff at my car and swore at me.
Classy bunch they were.

AAR has to hire this age worker. That is the age of the qualified available employee!!
There really were not many young people learning the trade following Sept 11th…..
