Barriers went up Friday closing Prairie Rose Park in Gladstone for the winter, although a few campers continued to stay even though they were told to leave by the end of the week. Continue Reading

Five statements from the “board not recognized by the city” and 11 from the mayor of Gladstone? Wow! Talk about biased reporting.
It’s also interesting how in a previous story the city said they got no advice from the Secretary of State and now they got legislative advice from Bismarck.
Hopefully when the truth comes out in court it is covered better than the lies printed by Martin’s Press so far.

The paper has done a great job of changing things around and trying to make lies look like the truth. Everyone needs to look back at the other articles to see that the city is WRONG! Martin did not like the election results that placed the “unrecognized” board members and so elected his own. They have legal papers telling the mayor his eviction notices were not placed in a proper way (made his own without any proper procedings), the mayor is refusing to recognize the rental agreements between the park board and campers, he turned off the water as a bully tactic after taking the money for these services, and now is continueing his self appointed marshel law tactics to hold them for ransom! I too wish they would speed up the court date! Then the move to impeach Martin can begin. Gladstone needs a real mayor who understands that infostructure must be established before any building can begin and it is going to take more then bullying innocent workers to make the new home owners in this town to notice not having adequat water and sewer! Everyone needs to look at the real issues here.
It is not about the park, it is about not providing adequet housing for the workers that are bringing growth to the area in the first place.
