In what he thought was a private moment during his presidential bid, Mitt Romney confided to a supporter that 47 percent of Americans were unlikely to vote for him so he wouldn’t be campaigning too hard to reach them.
And what happened? Romney got blasted and rightfully so, no doubt.

Farmers work for a living. That’s the difference.

Look at some demographics about farm ownership over the last few decades. Farms for a large part have been aggregated and are now owned by 1%ers, and they already own their chunk of the govt. Single family farmers on their own property are a vanishing breed. The hook and bullet crowd have some weird faith in the NRA. It would seem that you are overlooking those members of the general population who advocate for environmental qualities as potentially those who work the hardest for rural America. Try recognizing that perspective.
