Yea, that comment made me laugh as well.
He had all the drugs independently tested to make sure they were not illegal, but he did not have them independently tested to ensure they were safe. If the customers were indeed “almost family” to him, then all he would care about is if the product he sells is safe.
But he doesn’t. All he cares about is making money.

Apples and Oranges.
Everybody knows how dangerous cigarettes are, it says so right on the label. What we don’t know is how dangerous these synthetic drugs are.
Besides, gas station owners are not claiming their customers are “Like family” as they sell them cigarettes.
