If you’re that cynical about Obama’s intent, then consider that the Air Force might place the tankers here so Heidi Heitkamp gets credit. In my opinion, POTUS will let the Air Force decide on the assignment of tankers without political interference.

How can Heitkamp get credit when she isn’t in office for another month. It isn’t cynicism about Obama. The system is geared to award fed. contracts to Democratic districts/states if a Dem. pres. is in office & vice versa if it is a Republican.
