Obviously the beef and grain industry is a big part of North Dakota’s economy, and a part of its people’s diet. But this isn’t about being healthy anymore. It is about the government telling you what you can and cannot shove down your throats. Even fifth graders understand this notion. I believe that schools and parents should educate students on what to eat and let them choose. The schools are trying and I hope the parents are too. If the kids listened they will eat their greens. If not, then they will be the 50% of the country that is part of the “epidemic” (and I use that loosely). Don’t come crying when you are 300 pounds and want cheaper health care.

So Katherine, if the tax paying citizens who send their kids to tax payer funded schools and by proxy, the “guvment” buys the food with tax payer funds then the “guvment” gets to decide what they eat? WOW!! How Progressively Liberal thinking is that?
GOT BAKKEN? But only if it is Guvment approved!
