Everyone who goes to DC becomes part of the problem, no matter which party. The city is that corrupting.

Actually, he is one of the few that understood how the country’s financial system works. That’s why he got 70% of the vote nearly every time out. That’s 70% in a very red state. He was a moderate Democrat. And Hoeven will do well as long as he is a Moderate Republican. The problem lies with the folks who re-elect the Boehners, Pelosis, Reids and McConnells of the world. Those are the heads of congress that get the 9% or so approval ratings.

He was relected because he brought home pork, making ND a serf to the Federal Government, and because the ND media never ran a negative story on him.

Voters in ND relected him time and time again. He brought home the bacon, especially the farm subsidies.
