Marijuana has been decriminalized since the ’70s. Do we need a Governor so out of touch with the laws of our state. Possesion of marijuana is the about the same as a parking ticket, a speeding ticket is a bigger crime in Minnesota than possesion. $100 fine for possession, $140 for a speeding ticket.

Sounds to This Washingtonian that the good people of Minnesota need a New governor, one who understands what is going on in our culture.
The guv. Says we need less drugs in our society, great, when is HE going to start the alcohol prohibition movement? This Country is awash with drugs, and New ones coming out all the time, but I guess he thinks those are just fine,in spite of all of their toxic warnings because THEY are FDA approved, here take this Viagra, get a bonner but watch out for that heart attack.
The guv. Seems to believe that the police should set our cultures moral compass, NEVER.NEVER look to the police for guidance Unless you want a police state.
Alcohol prohibition was ended one state at a time,it will be the same for MerryWanna. If guv. Dayton wants Minnesota to be the last state to wake up so be it,someone has to be last.

Decriminalizing mj and facilitating medical mj would in fact take synthetic mj off the streets. A natural herb with widely known and documented effects and near zero toxicity would replace the synthetic products whose effects are shown to be toxic and otherwise dangerous. I see this as a good thing. This would also freee up the local law enforcement to search out real criminals.
