I called the information desk at the main Sioux Falls, Sd library and was told the Sioux Falls libraries are city libraries not county. This brings up the question if Worthington residents want a new library shouldn’t it be a City of Worthington project not a county project which many of us who live some distance from Worthington can ill afford especially in these tough economic times. I’d be interested to know if a survey of library usage has ever been taken showing how many library patrons are from Worthington and how many are from outlying areas of the county. I doubt the people of Ellsworth, Leota, or Lismore are getting their moneys worth compared to Worthington residents. I’m happy to see the commissioners table the issue until the new commissioners take office.
Hot debate. What do you think?
