So even the Associated Press has to admit that a Republican state legislature was able to reduce the state deficit by more than 80%. Gee, I thought they were evil. But the people have spoken and they’ll get exactly what they voted for. Enjoy.

Think what the deficit would be if the State had to fund the Arts and Environment without the 3/8 of 1% tax hike for the Legacy Funds. Time to stop giving away $8.5 mil to businesses because they want a brand spanking new office tower (Maurices Duluth). Time to stop demanding LGA funds, other cities are learning to manage without it. Instead of Duluth whining they aren’t getting enough, do your part to fix the budget.

In other news, the electronic pulltabs have brought in less than half of the projected revenue deemed necessary to fund the Vikings stadium…..
A. Weird. A government projection for a massive public project is WAAAAAY off. Didn’t see that coming.
B. Where do you think they make up the shortfall? Because you know dang well it isn’t going to stop the construction.

1.1 B in trouble. No climate in the state to attract businesses and about to go over the fiscal cliff. May be we should promote mining and timber rather than hinder it. May be we should look at helping small business start up easier, may be we should worry that entitlements will run out since we are living 20 years longer then when SS started. Democrats need to wake up to the fact taxing the rich will not create enough revenue to fix all we are facing. I never thought I would see the day when it was a negative to make your self wealthy. My mom is 85 in a few weeks and quit paying into the system at 60. Do the math. Can we say recession number 2 is lurking!

So the leftist Dayton wants to spend $1.1 billion more than is projected to come in. Why should the far left want anything different in Minnesota than in Washington? People talk about a “fiscal cliff”, we’re lookin from the over the cliff already side.

Wait until the Obamacare tax increases hit in January. That’s on top of everything else hitting the fan, too. But people voted for it and they’ll get exactly what they asked for (and what they were warned about.)
