I see two problems with the way we are passing on a tax break to “people”.
1. Last time we gave thye money to the school district they were supposed to drop their mill levy to match up with the aid from the state. They did not lower it as much as they were supposed to and got a pass from the state for two years.
2. The tax break should not be given to a business and depend on them to pass it on to their customers. When a rental owner gets the break does anybody really think the savings are passed onto the renter.
In light of what we have been addressing with rental rates being too high in GF a tax credit would ensure that the very people that pay the rent would get some relief.

Sorry, I don’t see the value in any democrat inputs concerning the state budget in ND…they get their way, we end up having a state budget like the federal govt.
