Why should northern MN be any different? Have you seen what farmers’ thousands of miles of drain tile have done to the Minnesota River? Pull up Google Maps for the satellite view of the Minnesota and St Croix convergence. As long as the State’s primary focus is jobs and tax revenue MN’s residents hoping for environmental relief are sunk. Someday our state will look just like Illinois or Indiana where farming and heavy industry dominate the landscape. Very sad.

Northern Minnesota has had mining for over 100 years yet is considered pristine and precious. Jobs and a desirable environment are compatible.
