Short term gains at best. I don’t think the scale will tip towards this being positive for anyone other than the big oil companies….And we all know how much help they need in their struggling business. I think if it goes through it will end up biting us in the arse time and again down the road…

could be but do not forget that the cost in $$, CO2, environmental impact and lives is much higher with trucking oil to market. Also the Canadians are going to build a pipeline for their oil. Either into the US or to their own west coast where it will be shipped to China. China’s refineries pollute much more than the ones in the US so environmentally you gain nothing…… in fact you loose.
