Women are women,
and men are men,
and always the twain shall meet…
but doggone it, a four star general with stellar security clearances and vows to his wife and his country should know he is going to be held to a higher standard than the ordinary schmuck.
If folks want to jump the traces and cheat on their spouses with other folks’ spouses, well that is their business and it is only themselves that they have to face in the mirror the next morning for true judgement.
But, by golly, when you are a career military person with certain trusts, your life is no longer your own. The judgement that lets you betray your oaths sworn to nation and family suggest flaws that portend bad results for the nation, at least. An exemplary spousee may forgive, but poor judgement in matters of security can also mean bad judgement in matters of defense.
I make no judgements against the women in this case, I am angry with the General! putz!
