I worked for an independent, family owned and operated toy store down here in Tampa back in 2008 and the owner of the store bought a pallet of Elf on the Shelf dolls from a trade show that year and we absolutely could not GIVE those things away. Every mom that came in said they looked too creepy to them. The Hallmark store two doors down from us couldn’t sell theirs either. Now, they’re all the rage and almost every family with small children I know has one. Go figure!

We have one and the kids love to wake up to see where it is each morning. It has powers that allows it to move all around.
