Repairing the dams and creating a pond again was not an option
What are we slaves? Some foreign dictators in the Twin Cities have absolute control over what we do with our own public property?
When did the coup happen?

David: Obviously you don’t and do not have any intention on trout fishing the creek, the warming water from the pool is definitely impacting the fishing! A snow bridge is an excellent idea for both seasons and without the useless pool of water in the summer it helps to lower the mosquito population. There is another option If you have the time and money you can go repair it..
Try to see the good in things once in awhile instead of like most republicans making everything sound so evil ……

Obviously you don’t understand my point. It should be for local folks to decide what to do with that land.

And where should the money come from? They dont have enough to do the repairs needed at other locations such as Irving which will most likely lose its hockey and other programs, being a multi sport facility and including other after school activities why not put the money there and get the most for the buck?

LOL you are arguing with yourself. All I said is locals should decided what to do, not a bunch of unelected dictators in St. Paul.

the people you call evil are the DNR and they control all streams rivers creeks and lakes, not the local population. I’m sure that the only reason the dam was allowed was due to grandfather clauses and now that its gone they feel its in the best interest of the natural resource; to not allow it be rebuilt and another plan was needed. Again the DNR has control over the water not the people meaning your posts are of self argument it may also explain the ratio of thumbs up to down on all posts…..

I can see Davids point. The everyone has to bow to the DNR. I’m not against protecting the environment…..it seems the DNR has a little too much power. One little pond for kids to ski across is not going to be the end humanity.

True, but we have to consider the issue where all the trees were cut down in Chester already.
That alone is going to increase the temperature of the creek, and if we rebuild the pond that will only add to the increase. Perhaps the DNR knows what they are talking about in this case?
