I like to go each year because we have fun. Secondly some people set a budget for their holiday spending. If there is a way to stretch your dollar than good for them. That doesn’t make them pathetic. I knew what I was buying for whom and if it was on sale i buy it. So just because your a scrooge doesn’t make the rest of us pathetic.

I did not participate in this madness, even though we have many more stores here in the twin cities. I don’t waste my time at dysfunctional corporate behemoths like Best Buy. Keep in mind that with respect to electronics, many of these items are made for Black Friday and usually are of lesser quality and often have different model numbers to differentiate items from those of higher quality. The stores have every right to be open so if enough consumers decide that family is more important on Thanksgiving, then they need to speak with their wallets and not partake. It’s really that simple. If enough choose the family option, then the retailers will not open their doors so early since they will not see it as financially viable. You, as a consumer have the control here. As it stands now, the consumers are the ones to blame, not the stores. I feel for the workers, but ultimately, they also have a right to just say no.
