At least the call came at a civil hour of the day early evening. There was a time in our lives when most of the calls we got from my college buddy Dick Olsson came at about 2:30 a.m. Phyllis and I would pass the phone back and forth in bed, humoring Dick until we could finally get him off the phone. It’s unlikely, given his condition during those calls, that he remembered much of what was said in the morning.
