The Jamestown High School boys hockey team’s three captains agree on one major point to this year’s team there should be good balance.
Between offense, defense and goaltending, seniors Jake Stilwell, Dakota Spitzer and Alex Williams said there isn’t a glaring weakness.

Nice preview article on the Jamestown High School boys hockey team, Last time I checked hockey was a team sport not an individual sport. If i counted right the article speaks of Jake Stilwell 7 times and only mentions 4 other kids names.I know the numbers might be down but come on I sure hope there is more than 5 kids on this team that deserve a little publicity.I wonder if Stilwell coaches this team also because there is no mention of a coach what so ever.

Did I say anything bad about the Stilwell kid? I don’t think so.I was just commenting on how the article was written about one person and not the whole team.There is at least 10 to 15 kids working hard on this team and you can only mention less than a handful in your season preview? And how can you preview a team without even talking to or about the head coach?

I found that odd too. Isn’t it the coaches job to preview his or her team and mention the players. By the way the numbers for boys is up. They had to cut some kids this year.
