Gotta love government officials… or journalists…whichever is the case here…….”a person must be a resident of Stark County for at least three months to own or manage a bar, but Kolling suggested making it two years”….”Do we think that’s practical?…..”…..”re Kolling? “. Or is the next statement by Katherine Grandstrand.?……”Part of the reason for that is to be able to do a proper background check.”
Who made that last statement Katherine? Was it Kolling or was it you? Use of quotation marks are used when quoting someone in so-called journalism. So are we then to assume that you, Katherine, are suggesting that only three months isn’t long enough to do a “proper” background check? Seriously? It only takes five days and usually a lot less for a background check to buy a handgun! Why in anybody’s world would it take longer? Certainly not nowadays. I’ll bet that the Dickison Police can arrest someone and do a complete background check in minutes to not only find out who the person really is but what they have done illegally in the US in the past!
I know we’ve tangled before Katherine, but this is either sloppy writing or journalism as you would call it or you are injecting your own liberal bias into the reporting…..which is it? Really? Which is it? Was it Kolling that said that three months wasn’t long enough or you?
GOT BAKKEN? Growing pains in a boom town!

The article seems to say the problem according to police is not enough bars, and then the proposed ordinances are all aimed at limiting bars. What’s up with that?
