This “Fiscal Cliff” is a Republican construct, based on the corruption of waging two wars of choice, on our children’s credit card and Bush’s(R) cutting taxes at the same time. Massive increases in spending, while at the same time cutting taxes to pay for it. How dumb is that? If they would have left well enough alone, the Federal Debt when Clinton (D) left office, would have been paid off in 2010. But no, the Republicans did everything they could to wreak that piece of good legislation. And they succeed beyond their wildest dreams. And still they are pushing for more train wreak.
Obama (D) put Bush’s (R) wars back on the budget where they should have been in the first place. The Bush (R) tax cuts should have been allowed to expire the first time around. Extending them only made the problem worse.
The real solution to our economic woes is to undo EVERYTHING George W. Bush(R) did.
- Stop the wars.
- Let the tax cuts expire. Most of what you are hearing about what the negative effects will be, are Right wing spin and propaganda. Do your own math. For many of us, we were probably making more when the tax cuts went into effect. So why will letting them expire, cost you more now, than what your take home then increased when they went into effect?
- Get our Living Wage Jobs back into this country. How can we continue to be a super power if we have to import so much? We even import the electronic parts for our “smart” war toys. From China yet! How dumb is that?
- Social Security is in trouble only because the Republicans want to privatize it and steal the trust fund by putting it in the stock market to gamble with. Just think about how many people lost their 401K and other retirement funds in both of the stock market crashes during Bush’s (R) tenure?
- If we do noting to Social Security, it will be good for at least another 30 years. So why the hurry to fix it now? More lies from the Republicans.
Do not mess with Social Security. Just getting our Living Wage Jobs back into this country will go a long way towards making Social Security solvent far, far into the future. Way beyond the next 30 years.
Now, how about Single Payer, Universal Health Care and getting the For Profit, “Your Money or Your Life” insurance companies out of determining who lives and who dies?

The government can try to force hospitals to do whatever they want, but:
1) Those doctors and other professionals that sick of being pushed around, can say “I’m retired”.
2) The Catholic Church can put “closed” signs on their hospital doors, when being forced to provide abortion and contraceptives by the government.
3) Insurance companies can close their doors, too.
When the government pushes people around, people will push back.

They can but they won’t because they want to make money.
