Gov. Scott Walker’s decision to hand off creation of an online marketplace to connect Wisconsin consumers with private health insurance providers riled Democrats and others who hoped he would support a state-run exchange despite his opposition to the federal law.

Isn’t Walker’s ideology supposed to require that the state can do something better than the federal government? Well, a true conservative would have that view. Walker wants exchange difficulties for political gotcha reasons.

Nessopotamian, I don’t care what the media says about Walker, I made up my mind long ago about him. Just out of curiousity, why did you name yourself after the cradle of civilization?

Obamacare is a travesty on par with other such horrific affronts to freedom as social security and medicare. I mean, why on earth should “we the people” be forced to do this whole “social safety net” thing, and prevent the elderly from falling into poverty after their working years are over. It’s pretty obvious that it’s their own fault if they end up broke; if we forced people to think ahead, then they’d have to rely on their own selves, and not some bloated government program.
Then there’s that whole “education” thing. Who the heck does the government think it is? Telling us that we HAVE to send our kids to school? For the government’s information, our grandparents built this country with their own two hands, and they never went to any school. All it took for them to be successful was that they had a strong back and a work ethic. They didn’t need any of this namby-pamby reading and ciphering back then, because they were real Americans back then. Now were just making our kids weak and dependent on this system by having to send them to twelve years of school, when they could be in the field doing real, productive work. Don’t even get me started on this whole “college” thing. Where in the constitution does it say that the government has the right to make us send our kids to school?
All we really need is for our kids to join the military, and have them go bomb up the middle east and maybe China. Then they’ll come back and they’ll be heroes, and that’ll be enough to get them hired in any red blooded American company. They’ll learn everything they need to know from the drill instructor.
And all this Obamacare is just getting us further in debt, and it’s going to ruin the country. Debt is bad, no matter what. The government is no different than any business or household. It can only spend what it makes, and it should only make enough to pay the salaries, minus 25%, of the president and the congress, and about 7 trillion per year for the military. In fact, those fatcats in Washington should be volunteering their
What we need is to go back on the gold standard. That way, the money has a real value, based on the value of gold. No matter what, gold is the most valuable thing on earth. If we go on the gold standard, we will just print money for the whole economy based on exactly how much gold there is, not some fake idea about money.

The pillaging of Social Security and Medicare of all their funds by politicians is a travesty, so maybe you should go back to the drawing board for your examples.

This is a non-issue since Obamacare is so complete and so fundamentally sound that we Wisconsinites would only be doing a disservice by trying to manage such a perfectly thought out plan.

For sarcasm shanks….I’m libertarian, I hate both parties. Walker made this decision clearly for political purposes. That is Bull U know what. Govern, Governor…..Don’t play games. Leave that to the House of Representatives

And if you are curious, I hate Republicans more these days, because of their nutjob social agenda, and foreign policy. But no fear democrats, I hate you as well for out of control social programs…….In honesty I hate neither blocks of voters, just the party.
