BARNESVILLE, Minn. The priest at a Catholic church here is denying that a 17-year-old boy was not allowed to be confirmed after publicly supporting same-sex marriage.

This is a very revealing story. It seems that the upper echelons of the Catholic hierarchy are of the belief that they have the right to control the thoughts of the individual member. That has some rather sinister implications.

Good luck on controlling the thoughts or actions of each practising Catholic any more than you can control the thoughts or actions of your next door neighbor. A priest is like a shepherd leading his flock to Jesus. Just like a lamb, if one goes astray he tries to correct them and put them back on the path, sometimes they refuse. To follow the Lord, is NEVER easy! That’s why society tries changing God’s word to accommodate and justify living together, homosexual acts, abortion and a whole lot of other social ills. Generally people that try to change God’s word are the lost sheep.

Whether we flock or stray, we still end up as lamb chops.

That’s exactly the problem, Rebel. They’re out to control the thoughts, the votes, the lives, and the souls of anyone who gives them power.
As I said in the other article about this, the BIG problem is the fact that a priest was snooping around on a child’s facebook page….

I am Bishop James Wilkowski and I am the Evangelical Catholic Bishop for the Diocese of the Northwest and our Catholic community is prepared to offer the Sacrament of Confirmation to this young man.

That is good, Bishop Wilkowski. However, your motives for providing the Sacrament of Confirmation to this young man are still questionable.
Are you offering this rite willingly despite Lennon’s support for gays to marry? Or are you offering this rite merely to alleviate the bad press the Catholic church has received for denying Lennon because of his personal beliefs in the first place?

The bishop is not with the Roman Catholic Church as this story refers too. He’s a small splinter group that few people have ever heard of. I doubt he much cares of bad press the Roman Catholic Church may or may not receive.
