As I read the story on the continuing struggle between the city council and BCTF, one portion of the story jumped out. Nina Schneider is worred that this contract delay will hamper them from looking for a new building.
Apparently the building the the majority of people visiting Jamestown pass during the tourist season isn’t up to par for the 1 or 2 people that work there, maybe looking at the marqee of the civic center-VISITORS BUREAU could be the answer for them. This would free up valuable area for expansion for the Frontier Village to the west.
Sharing a receptionist and other expenses could help both entities, we know the civic is not a self-funded building how it is currently operated.
This could be a win-win for both groups and it should be looked at more closely with any other options that are considered once this is settled.

Peter – I think that is a great idea… but to simple for this board. It seems they want to create a bunch of museums that no one would visit. I think either the Civic Center or open an office in the Buffalo Mall to encourage traffic and hand out information.
