Yes it is about time. Now that all businesses must apply to the new change the public will eventually adapt although you will hear complaining especially from bar owners. They need to look at as if they were just given 5 more years or more to their lives by not breathing in second hand smoke.

I agree. I don’t think the bars will notice a difference since everyone is on an equal playing field.
We’re about to see if the addiction to drinking or smoking is stronger.

I am interested to see what the threshold is in determining whether a business is an exception to the rule of 20 feet. Hopefully crying loudly isn’t part of it.
I do see an issue with people attempting to carry drinks outside when going for a cigarette. Another issue is the safety of pedestrians downtown. Will there be more drunken fights, more people heckling one another, will the streets be louder than before? I hope the bar owners have the decency to police their patrons.
I will not be afraid to take back the streets. Let that be a warning.
