So, what do you get when you embrace all these faulty beliefs? You get a culture of people who continually strive to buy more and more stuff, while complaining about how poor they are. Continue Reading

“Relative truth” is for people who want to live however they wish with no consequences all while telling others who disagree with them that they are “hateful” and “bigoted.”

It is way cool to believe whatever it is that you wish to believe. What is not okay is when you take your own beliefs and try to impose them on others. If religion does not believe in gay marriage that is fine. However, it is not acceptable to force that belief on others who may not be Christians or of no religious faith at all. Religion, of any type, should not have the exclusive right to define values and beliefs. Again, God is the judge and people are his followers. Let God decide what beliefs and values are right and wrong. He is the only judge that will matter to any of us in the end.
Wow! The Republicans who chose to put the amendments on the ballot this election really and truly miscalculated the outcome. Now we have folks working at newspapers saying that being open-minded and honoring diversity is bad for society. Simply not true. The message is clearly that we should all jump on-board with group think and hold onto beliefs of the past whether they are right or wrong. That, simply put, is hogwash. One of the great things about this nation is that we are free to think, speak and believe what we wish. Otherwise would be unAmerican.

So, it’s wrong for Christians to “force” their belief that gay “marriage” is wrong on others, but it’s perfectly acceptable for others to force their belief that gay “marriage” is perfectly okay on Christians?

In response to the above question the answer is no. It would be way wrong if gays tried to change what Christians believe or expect them to marry same sex partners. It would be way wrong if gays tried to prevent heterosexuals from getting married. Likewise, it would be way wrong if Christians tried to change what gays believe or expect them to marry opposite sex partners. It would be way wrong if Christians tried to prevent gays from getting married. So, again, the answer is no. It is not okay to force beliefs on others.
