Am I the only person to ask why in the 21st C are we still stringing telecomms and electricity lines from poles? They should be buried underground! This is the United States of America!

beacause the ground is full. One call was set up beacause of the power, water and gas, fiber optics and other stuff . When I worked for the utility I hated going to a new house if the cable/electric people had gotten there fist the water which was 6-8 deep had to be put in avoiding everything In new york you add in the subwaysystem power to building street light etc it would be a nightmare
